INVESTOR RELATIONS SPECIALIST, CLIENT SERVICE & CAPITAL FORMATION
Shine Associates, LLC has been retained to search, identify, and recruit an Investor Relations Specialist, Client Service & Capital Formation on behalf of our client (‘Company’). The position will be in either the Atlanta, San Francisco, or Chicago offices.

CLIENT DESCRIPTION
Our client is a real estate investment management firm led by seasoned professionals averaging 25+ years of real estate industry experience. The firm manages real estate equity investments across the risk spectrum within a variety of investment structures on behalf of U.S. and foreign institutional investors.
The Company has an established track record of investing across the risk spectrum and property types within the United States. The firm provides a full complement of real estate investment strategies and products. The Company’s investment strategies are organized within two parallel business lines, each with its own dedicated investment personnel and investment committee.
INVESTOR RELATIONS SPECIALIST, CLIENT SERVICE & CAPITAL FORMATION
The Investor Relations Specialist (“IR Specialist”) will be a key member of the Client Service & Capital Formation team and be responsible for supporting the Capital Formation team to deliver timely and accurate information to investors: to include but not limited to, proposals and questionnaires, quarterly and annual updates, and all ad hoc requests.
The IR Specialist’s primary role is to support the executive team’s capital raising and marketing efforts. The IR Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the completion of investor proposals and due diligence questionnaires; collaborating with portfolio management teams, accounting teams, and various stakeholder units throughout the firm to manage their execution. This includes creating compelling strategic value propositions, writing new content, and editing existing responses to tailor them for individual prospects. The IR Specialist will assist with creation of marketing materials, managing the CRM, internal and external reporting, and investor requests. Additionally, the IR Specialist will demonstrate a deep understanding of the Company’s core competencies, strategy, performance, and business plan for each offering, and will have the ability to communicate these concepts clearly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare numerous Excel DDQs, written responses to RFPs, and ad-hoc investor requests
Lead review of documents to ensure high quality, error-free final product and to ensure all RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs are completed on a timely basis; proofread RFPs/RFIs/DDQs before submission
Complete proposals and questionnaires, including compiling existing language, creating new language as needed
Assist with content management of the RFPIO library, including periodic review for accuracy
Coordinate and execute the collection, writing, editing, calculating, and maintaining of quantitative and qualitative marketing proposal response information to respond to the client, consultant, and other requests for information on the firm
Support of all aspects of the marketing and fundraising cycle from fund concept, PPM preparation, launch, marketing, road shows, diligence and closing of investor capital commitments
Lead planning and internal communication of fund closings, capital calls, and distributions notices
Assist with external communication of fund closings, capital calls, and distributions notices
Manage all client intake and closing for all investors
Lead the coordination of investor documentation collection and review for fund closings
Work closely with Outside Counsel and Fund Administrators on all capital activity
Liaise with key stakeholders across the firm to gather data, analytics and information to support fundraising objectives and maximize fundraising success
Manage firm’s CRM and investor portal (Juniper Square)
Effectively field inbound client questions/requests to ensure they are handled in a prompt and high-quality manner
Oversee client onboarding to ensure a superior experience with reporting, capital statements, and other elements
Keep Capital Formation team updated on where all document processing and investor communications stand
Support day-to-day operational tasks (e.g., IR group inbox maintenance, list management, reconciliation and data integrity and ad-hoc investor requests
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
5 to 10 years of investor relations, fund administration, and/or legal fund formation support experience
Relevant experience at an investment management firm or similar preferred
Highly proficient working in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe and understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software preferably Juniper Square
Exceptional attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy and organization
Problem solver with ability to research solutions and suggest resolutions
High level of initiative and strong work ethic
Ability to juggle, prioritize, and manage workload to meet multiple deadlines and work effectively in a team environment
COMPENSATION
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $160,000 - $180,000. In addition to base salary, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus, as well as a competitive benefits package. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
