PROJECT MANAGER

Shine Associates, LLC has been retained to search, identify, and recruit a Project Manager on behalf of our client (‘Company’).  The position will be located in the Boston, MA office.

Our client is a private real estate firm with 1.5 billion in investments across the Northeast. The Firms’ projects range from a five-acre, 400,000 square foot mixed-use development that includes hotels, restaurants, and residences, to a transformed industrial space converted to a hive of creative commerce where business, arts and sciences come together, to one of the largest solar plants in Massachusetts.
 
PROJECT MANAGER
 
Seeking a Project Manager (‘PM’) to assist the Director of Development in all aspects of the Development process. The position has numerous opportunities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
The PM role requires a broad skillset. Given that every Development project is unique, the PM role is particularly well suited to a generalist—someone who is comfortable with and interested in a range of issues, disciplines, and areas. Depending on the particular project, the PM may need to call upon his or her skills in strategy, 3rd party management of consultants, financial analysis, task management, and stakeholder communications. Prior work experience in Real Estate development/construction is required.
  • Organize, maintain and track project files and correspondence
  • Coordinate action items with, and manage, 3rd party vendors
  • Establish, track and manage project milestones along with develop, manage and update project schedule incorporating all phases of the project cycle
  • Attend and drive weekly construction meetings
  • Tour project sites during construction to ensure work-in-place is compliant with design documents and the progress is in alignment with presented schedules and budgets
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Must work well in a fast-moving high expectation environment including managing multiple projects in various phases in various locations at any given time
QUALIFICATIONS
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or Finance is preferred
  • 4-7 years of development/construction project management experience/expertise
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • High degree of professionalism with the ability to work with little supervision, handle multiple tasks in an organized manner, produce quality work and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to read and act on construction, design and engineering documents
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Office, Project and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Bluebeam/CAD/Procore is preferred but not required
COMPENSATION

Compensation will include a competitive base salary and bonus, and an attractive benefits package.
