SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, HEAD OF REAL ESTATE CAPITAL RAISING
Shine Associates, LLC has been retained to search, identify, and recruit a Senior Vice President, Head of Capital Raising focused solely on real estate investments, on behalf of our client (‘Company’). The position will be located in the New York office.

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, HEAD OF CAPITAL RAISING
Reporting into the President, the Senior Vice President, Head of Real Estate Capital Raising is a newly-created position in the Company organization. He / She will be a key member of the management team and contribute to the strategic planning of the organization. He / She will be responsible for raising capital for real estate equity and debt investments from a variety of capital sources including pension plans, family offices, endowments & foundations, sovereign wealth funds, and other pools of capital.
REAL ESTATE
Establish strategic direction for fundraising efforts including target investment partners, structuring, and asset classes.
Initiate, build and maintain strong relationships with potential investors for the Company’s real estate investments; inclusive of identifying, expanding and deepening relationships with public and corporate pension plans, family offices, endowments & foundations, sovereign wealth funds, smaller institutions, etc.
Leverage established network of investors while demonstrating the ability to connect and expand existing network
Develop new marketing strategies as well as online and offline marketing materials to advance the Company’s ability to attract future investors
Assess Firm’s capital structure and provide ongoing recommendations for recapitalization
Understand the investment objectives and priorities of potential investors as well as the direct and indirect influences on individual and institutional investment decisions
Effectively articulate strategy, objectives, investments, and results of the Company and its subsidiaries
Liaise with legal, finance and other internal functions as necessary for product growth and support, including new product creation, investor onboarding and investor servicing
Collaborate with the Company’s Real Estate professionals to ensure the company’s best resources are introduced to potential investors
Respond to prospective investor inquiries, questionnaires and RFP’s
Facilitate detailed diligence, closings and follow up meetings
Year-one critical success factors:
Create a critical path for connecting with new and existing investors while defining the various investor processes necessary to have successful capital raising and investor relations
Increase investor recognition of Firm’s platform and strategy
Build and represent the Company brand; differentiating the firm and its offerings from other firms seeking investments from investors
Relevant real estate and investor relations experience, with a strong understanding of real estate (strongly preferred), investments and fund management business
Extensive knowledge and experience with capital raising processes including but not limited to: marketing, negotiating, legal, reporting and diligence
Must possess poise, gravitas, skills and competencies to suggest that one would be able to raise capital and successfully interface with investors
Good understanding of financial reporting and accounting, and surrounding processes

COMPENSATION
The expected base salary for this position is up to $500,000. In addition to base salary, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus, up to 100%, as well as a competitive benefits package. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
